Convert your home into a staycation

If you're like many of us, chances are you won't be going on a traditional vacation this summer. That doesn't mean you can't create an amazing summer staycation! Here are some tips to help make your summer staycation shine:

1. Invest in some new outdoor furniture—Nothing will make you feel like you've upgraded your backyard more than investing in a few new pieces of outdoor furniture. Add a picnic table, some comfy chairs, and a lounger, and you'll have an area to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. The team at Villa Noir can help.

2. Set up a movie theater in your backyard—You can still have a movie night, even if you don't have a movie theater nearby. Invest in a projector and screen and turn your backyard into a movie theater. You'll be able to watch all your favorite films with friends and family.

3. Take advantage of local attractions—Many cities offer free or discounted admission to certain attractions during the summer. Look up some local attractions and plan out a weekend itinerary. It's a great way to explore your city and have a mini-vacation right at home.

4. Hold a barbecue or potluck—Invite friends and family over for a summer barbecue or potluck. Prepare the food in advance and have everyone pitch in with dishes to share. Eat outdoors and enjoy the food and company.

5. Try out new activities—Take advantage of the great weather and try out some activities you've been wanting to try. Rent a paddle board or go kayaking on the lake. Or, try out some outdoor recreational sports, such as horseshoes, volleyball, and Frisbee.

Creating a memorable summer staycation is easy with the right planning! Use these tips to make your summer staycation shine and make memories that will last for a lifetime.
